The cards work just fine, as have those we purchased in the past. However, DO pay attention to what you are buying! I mistakenly bought the E. coli-ONLY cards instead of the ECC cards. It was totally my fault, but this an easy mistake to make if you are in a hurry, as I was. Roth got them to us in about 3 days, which was fantastic!
Per usual, the R-cards came as expected. They are easy to use and are useful for my purposes of testing water quality. I was happy that the customer service folks were able to work with my intuition on a different payment method. Thank you!

Our sampling protocols include a 3 hour limit on holding samples. Sampling using the sterile bottles allows us to sample up to 6 or 7 sites and return to our processing and incubator site.

Colichrome® MF Coliform - Kit
This product is worth the money! I have been using R-cards with 1ml samples and although it works great for safety tests, it doesn't give us the resolution we'd like for spotting septic leaks into our lake. Using 100ml samples really helps. The setup is simple (once one understands to remove the blue cover on the filter paper ;>) ) The funnel leak I had last time was my mistake. I wish I could delete my last review. More importantly than the product, this is likely the most responsive, helpful company I've ever worked with. VERY refreshing and appreciated. Kudos.
At Choctawhatchee Riverkeeper we still feel that the R card products are the best for our needs. At this time we are training citizen volunteers to do testing so that we might sample stream, river and lake recreational sites more often. We use the ECC R cards and post all results on The SWIM Guide as well as notify the public.
The protocol we use is supported by Alabama Water Watch and is approved for first alert testing by Region 4 USEPA.
